EAGLE RIVER, Wis. – Albert Wiel left for Chicago Monday on a business trip.
W. R. Raymond is passing the week with relatives at Madison.
Stefan Bocia left for Rochester, Minn., Thursday.
Mrs. W. H. Ryer went to Phelps, Wednesday to visit her daughter, Mrs. Albert
Finch.
William Sattenberger left Saturday for a couple of weeks business trip to
Appleton, Racine and other downstate points.
Miss Stella Carlin of Ashland arrived Tuesday to take a position as
stenographer at the Sanborn company’s office.
Miss Doris Emmons left for Winegar, Monday where she will act as substitute
teacher for the next few weeks, filling a vacancy caused by illness. Mrs. N.
M. Emmons accompanied her daughter.
William Hunter returned Wednesday from a trip to Green Bay.
Mrs. M. J. Stromberg left Friday morning to pass a few weeks in Milwaukee.
John Murphy of Montello arrived Wednesday to pass a week or so at the
William Murphy home.
Matt Heizel was among those who welcomed President Wilson and party in
Milwaukee.
W. C. Arnold spent Saturday at Three Lakes.
The chicken supper given by St. Ignatius guild on Thursday evening added $28
to cash on hand.
Mrs. F. G. McIntyre was hostess to the Inter Se club at her home Tuesday
night.
Mrs. A. H. Stevens entertained a number of ladies last Thursday at a five
o’clock tea.

EAGLE RIVER, Wis. – Stefan Boca was an over-Sunday visitor with friends at
Ashland.
County Representative Oscar Gunderson returned Saturday from a trip to
Ashland.
Mrs. Louise Stromberg arrived from Milwaukee Tuesday to her place on Bont
lake.
William H. Radcliffe returned Tuesday from a week’s visit at Milwaukee and
Oshkosh.
Miss Susie Frankel left Saturday afternoon for a visit with relatives at
Crystal Falls, Mich.
Mrs. J. A. Dziengielewski returned to Chicago Monday after passing a few
weeks with her husband.
Miss Lena Simon returned to her home at Appleton Monday after passing
several months at the home of her sister, Mrs. Arthur McGill.
Mrs. A. S. Lalla, who has been visiting here with her husband the last two
weeks, returned Saturday morning to Chicago.
J. E. Sullivan returned from Chicago Tuesday, where he had been on a
business visit, returning with a carload of draft horses for Sanborn
company.
Supt. A. J. Austin went to Winegar on a school inspection visit Tuesday.
Mrs. Frank Adams and children returned from Wausau Monday.
The St. Ignatius guild were entertained by Mrs. George Fuller Thursday.
Mrs. P. J. Gaffney returned Wednesday from Eau Claire, where she was called
by the death of her mother.
Courthouse officials Saturday afternoon saw two deer cross the courthouse
yard, followed a few minutes later by a large dog. The animals went to
Higgins’ woods. They were chased from across the river.
