Vaden-Dembek Marriage Vows Exchanged Saturday

Transcribed by Charlie VinesMiss Ann Dembek, daughter of Mr. and Mrs Anthony Bogdanowich of Tams, became the bride of Willis E. Vaden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Vaden of Corinne, in a ceremony performed at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 3.
The Rev. Father E. B. Kryssick read the nuptial service in St. John's Catholic Church in Mullens.
Given in marriage by her brother, Anthony Dembek, the bride wore a gown of Chantilly lace fashioned with a high neckline and pointed wristlength sleeves. Her finger-tip veil was attached to a headpiece of beaded pearls.
The bridal bouquet was a cascade of stephanotis and baby's breath falling from a white orchid. Her only ornament was a string of pearls.
Miss Stella Dembek, of East Orange, N. J., sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Her blue marquisette gown was fashioned similar to the one worn by the bride. She had a matching headpiece and carried a colonial bouquets.
Miss Mary Frances Gonzalez, of East Orange, niece of the bride, was attired in blue for her role as flower girl.
Serving as best man was George Kardish. Ushers were Bennett Day and Hershey Cook, Jr.
The bride's mother wore a street-length dress of navy blue with black accessories and a corrage of red roses.
At 5 p.m., a wedding supper was served in the home of the wedding party, close friends, and relatives.
The wedding reception was held at Sam's Place in ??? at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Vaden is a graduate of Mark Twain High School and has been employed as bookkeeper for the Gulf Smokless Coal Company Store in Tams.
The groom after serving for three years in the U. S. Navy, is employed at the Black Eagle Coal Company.
After a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, the couple plans to reside in Tams.
