HOWARD, IGNATIUS
In the court of Greenbrier County, August, 1786, Sarah Howard, widow of Ignatius (Ignarations ) Howard, who was a soldier under Captain Arbuckle in the State service and who died with smallpox on his return from the Point his return from the Point station in the year 1774, "remains a widow and has three children to maintain." It was ordered that pension for her be continued.

HUFFMAN, REUBEN
Service-Virginia Va. No. 4720 No. W. 7827
Enlisted, Culpepper County, Virginia, March, 1777, and served three years as a private under Captain Angus Bucher, First Virginia Regiment, under Colonel George Gibson and General Muhlenberg. He was honorably discharged at Valley Forge in 1782. Soldier was born in 1754 and died in 1832. He was married in the fall of 1788, Madison County, Virginia. His wife, Catherine, was born, August 12, 1767, and died February 6, 1844. Their children were: Solomon, Philip, Thomas, and Eleanor Hoffman Goodrich. Pension was granted to the soldier in Greenbrier County, Virginia. December 1,1818, and pension was likewise granted the widow in later years. Supporting claims were filed by Paschal Early, Daniel Field. Joseph Huffman, Zachariah Cook, and Thomas Reynolds.
