Among myrtle, ivy, tangled stalks of dead rose bushes, depressed graves and broken tomb-stones are found the following
dead persons buried underneath its sod. This being a denominational burial place, the Presbyterian elders are grouped

These are among some of the oldest and most prominent persons interred in this grave yard. Space would not admit of mentioning all that are buried here, neither would it be expected in a history of this kind. Only some of the pioneers of what is now Hancock County, are given, with a few soldiers.
