John W. Hall and little son were drowned in the Ohio river at Parkersburg,
W. Va. The boy was taken with a fit while swimming. His father attempted
to rescue him, when both drowned.

Abel Hughes and his wife and child were drowned near Parkersburg, W. Va.,
on the 10th by being thrown off a bridge into the river by a runaway team.

On last Saturday August Bohn, of Parkersburg, W. Va., attempted to save his
5 year old son who had fallen into the water, but both were drowned.

Miss Maud D'Alma, was drowned near Parkersburg, W. Va., on Saturday. Miss
D'Alma was a resident of Clearfield and she with her family were traveling
with a circus which was showing near Parkersburg, when a cloud burst, the
flood striking the tent and tearing it to pieces and carrying Miss D'Alma
to a watery grave before any assistance could be rendered.
