Rolland M. 'Mickey' Burnite
CASPER -- Graveside services for Rolland M. "Mickey" Burnite, 75, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov.. 30, 2006, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
There will be a viewing at Bustard's Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
He died Nov. 25, 2006, at Wyoming Medical Center.
He was born March 21, 1931, in Sykston, N.D., the son of John and Selma (Lange) Burnite. He worked in the oilfield.
His hobbies included gardening and yardwork, camping, golfing and fishing. He also loved spending time with his family and friends and will be remembered for his big heart. He was loving, strong and a hard-working man.
Survivors include eight children, Debbie J. Burnite, Shelley Burnite Breeden, Jackie S. Burnite, R.M. Burnite Jr., Robert E. Burnite and David H. Burnite, all of Casper, Kelly Wagner and her husband of Vernal, Utah, and Gayla Richards and her husband of New Port Richey, Fla.; two sisters, 21 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Naaz Burnite; a daughter, Linda Lou Burnite; a son, Kerry Burnite; his mother and father and stepfather, Robert Schulz.
Roy Clark

Sally Cordova
CASPER -- Funeral services for Sally Cordova, 55, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Carr officiating.
Visitation will take place today, Aug. 1, from 2-8 p.m., with a vigil service at 7 p.m. at Newcomer Family Funeral Home.
She died July 27, 2006, at Wyoming Medical Center.
Born March 7, 1951, in Trinidad, Colo., to Conrad and Frances (Pacheco) Cordova, she grew up in Trinidad and attended schools there. She moved to Casper in the early 1970s. At the time of her death she worked at Poplar Living Center. She attended St. Anthony's Catholic Church and enjoyed dancing and listening to music. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her daughter, Emily St. Angelo and her husband of Casper; two sons, Augustino Gallegos of Denver and Sal Gallegos of Casper; and two grandchildren of Casper.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Raymond Cordova; and her companion, Manuel Vigil.
Edward Franklin Fuller
CASPER, Wyo., April 11. – Edward Franklin Fuller, well known in Casper, where he had lived for the past twenty-seven years, died early Sunday morning at his home on Durbin street, after a ten days’ illness with plural pneumonia. He leaves a wife and three children to mourn his loss, as well as his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Fuller of Buffalo; two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Hicks of Riverton, and Mrs. Blanche Crouse of Buffalo. They will arrive to be present at the funeral.
The deceased was born in Cheyenne, and has resided all his life in the West. Had he lived until next August he would have been 36 years of age. He came to Casper in 1890, and was married in this city to Bessie E. Gorrell in 1898. The deceased was engaged in the business of freighting and his occupation threw him in contact with the entire community. William Galey
After several months of sickness he died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank R. Schukey, in this city on Sunday June 18. The funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Baptist church, Rev. Hopton officiating. After the services the remains wer escorted to Highland cemetery of interment. Mr. Galey came to Casper last fall since which time he made his home with his daughter. At the time of his death he was 73 years 4 months and 23 days of age and leaves three children to mourn his loss. He was a faithful member of the Baptist church and lived a true Christian life. Patrick Groggin
Pattrick Groggin a young man about 23 years of age, who had been herding sheep for Jerry Mahoney a couple of years, was brought to town last Sunday morning from the Big Horn, suffering with uraemis from which he died in the afternoon and the funeral services were held at the Catholic church Monday morning, after which the remains were interred in the Highland cemetery. The young man came in from the range last March and was very sick for several weeks and it is thought he never fully recovered from that illness which finall resulted in his death. His father and mother are living in Ireland, and they surely have the sympathy of all in the loss of their boy who died so far away from home. Amanda Lane Jelsma

CASPER -- No services were held for Amanda Lane Jelsma, 34, who died Jan. 2, 2007, at her home after a long illness.
She was born April 26, 1972, in Casper, to Gary Jelsma and Nancy Herman.
She was raised and educated in Casper and was a homemaker.
Her hobbies included shopping, her daughter and bingo. She was funny and loved life and will be missed.
Survivors include her mother of Casper, daughter, Noelia of Casper; sister, Kimberley of San Antonio, Texas; father, Gary and wife, Debra of Salt Lake City; half-sisters, Chelcie and Cheri; half-brother, Travis; and paternal grandparents, Leon and Betty Jelsma of East Carbon, Utah.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Leslie and Tracy; infant son, Angle; stepfather, Gerald Brown; and maternal grandparents, Jessie and Truman Herman.
Perry Keith
Perry Keith Killed By Truck Overturning
Mr. and Mrs. Adam Keith, formerly of Kaycee, but now of Midwest, are mourning the loss of their son, Perry, who was killed by an overturning truck. Perry had been employed in Midwest during his summer vacation. The truck in which he was riding was heavily loaded with iron pipe, when it struck a small wash out in the road it overturned, the pipe falling on Perry killing him instantly. The driver of the truck was unhurt.
Perry was seventeen years old and would have graduated from the Midwest High School next June.

James Kidd
James Kidd, aged 45 years, died at his homestead on the Big Horn mountains at 6 o'clock last Thursday morning, July 5. He had been sick only abour 30 hours until death came and relieved him of his suffering, his death resulting from ulceration of the stomach and peritonitis. The body was brought to Casper, arriving here early Friday morning, and the remains were interred in Highland cemetery in the afternoon. The funeral Services were held at the M. E. church by Rev. L. C. Thompson. The deceased came to Casper from Scotland about seven years ago, and engaged in the sheep business with Mr. A. McPherson and was very successful. He leaves a wife and three little boys 8, 6, and 3 years of age, and one brother in Natrona county and three brothers and two sisters in Scotland to mourn his loss. His borther is David Kidd, one of the best known men in this part of the state. Simon Mays

Lorna L. McMahon
LA PORTE, Colo. -- A gathering to honor Lorna L. McMahon, 61, of LaPorte, Colo., and reminisce about her will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the American Legion Hall, at 2124 North Hwy 287 in LaPorte, Colo. Following this celebration a reception will be held at Sol's Longbranch Saloon at 3310 W. County Road 54G in LaPorte. Cremation is planned.
She died March 22, 2006.
Born March 1, 1945, in Alliance, Neb., she was the daughter to Leon and Louise De Sersa. She lived most of her life in Casper and worked formerly at the Denny's Restaurant and as the banquet manager at the Hilton and Ramada Inns. She also lived in Boulder and Louisville and came to live in LaPorte in 1991.
She married Don McMahon 16 years ago, although they had known each other since she was 13. She managed Sol's Longbranch Saloon until a year ago. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in the Fort Collins area.
Survivors include her husband, Don; daughter, Jackie Spring of Queensbury, N.Y.; son, Steve Rodelli of Lafayette, Colo.; siblings, Sonny De Sersa of Boulder, Butch De Sersa of Casper, Peggy James of Otis, Ore., Kathy De Sersa of Reading, Calif., Gale De Sersa of LaPorte, twin sisters, Von and Lyle De Sersa of Boulder, Colo.; and three grandchildren
Isabella McRae
The sympathy of a host of friends is with Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth McRae, whose four-year-old daughter Isabella died last Saturday after suffering several months with tubucular peritonitis. The little girl was taken to the hospital at Douglas last week where she was operated upon, but she was not strong enough to recover from the shock and passed away at about noon on Saturday. The remains were brought to Casper and on Sunday morning at 9 o’clock services were held at the Episcopal church by Rev. Dr. Luther E. Mitchell
Dr. Mitchell Dead
Dr. L. E. Mitchell, of Edgerton, died at the Midwest Hospital Saturday morning, June 5th, from a three weeks illness with pneumonia.
Dr. Luther E. Mitchell was formerly the high standing and beloved physician of Kaycee, later moving to Salt Creek fields, practicing in LaVoye, New Salt Creek and Edgerton. At the time of his death he was residing in Edgerton.
Dr. Mitchell was 39 years of age, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Mitchell of Cheyenne, where the body was shipped Saturday from the Schaffer and Gay funeral home in Casper and interred in Cheyenne Tuesday after the funeral rites of Consistory Temple.
Dr. Mitchell was one of the first to enlist in the cause of his country in the World War and served in the medical corps with an excellent record. He leaves to mourn his loss a widow, a father and mother, a daughter, Donna, and a son, Luther, and a sister in Los Angeles and another in Cheyenne. [Buffalo News, 10 June 1926, page 4]

J.H. Omstead
CASPER, Wyo., July 22. – J. H. Omstead, 66 years of age, for 35 years a resident of this vicinity, died at Thermopolis from the effects of a paralytic stroke with which he was stricken.
Mr. Omstead was engaged in stock raising for a number of years in this vicinity having lately retired to look after his property interests at Thermopolis. Mr. Omstead is survived by his widow and five children, Harry Omstead and Mrs. Maud Hanson of Thermopolis, Jack Omstead of Casper, Mrs. Nellie Parker of Greybull and Mrs. Elva McQueary of Glenrock. Bonnie Carol Smith
EVANSVILLE -- Funeral services for Bonnie Carol Smith, 64, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, Evansville Baptist Church.
She died on May 6, 2008, at the Wyoming Medical Center after a long bout with cancer.
She was born Oct. 27, 1943 in Rapid City, S.D., to Marvin Paul Jacobson and Ethyl Maxine Lewis.
She spent most of her life in Casper graduating from Natrona County High. She worked for Plows Diner for 16 years. She enjoyed camping being with family and friends.
She had a heart of gold, to know her was to love her.
She is survived by four siblings, Rebecca Burke and Robert Jacobson both of Evansville, Kenneth Jacobson of Mills, Deborah Scott of Cordes Lakes, Ariz.; and numerous nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents.
Michelle Marie Leikam Stevens
CASPER -- The funeral for Casper resident Michelle Marie Leikam Stevens, 32, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Mountain View Baptist Church by Pastor Buddy Hanson.
She died Feb. 1, 2006, at her home. Born June 11, 1973, in Colorado, she was the daughter of Karen Davis and Jerry Leikam; was raised and educated in Casper; and attended Kelly Walsh High School. Known for her kindness and outgoing personality, she loved computers and playing pool and enjoyed watching her son play sports.
Survivors include her son, John William Stevens; his father, Kirby Stevens; her father; her grandfather, Lauri Nickels; her mother; grandparents, Martha and Riney Leikam; and uncle, Rick Leikam. She was preceded in death by two uncles, Jim and Tom Leikam; and grandmother, Donna Nickels.
Mary J. Svare
SVARE, Mary J. was born in Union County, Iowa August 20th 1861. The early part of her life was spent in Story County, Iowa. She was married to James Svare Feb 1, 1881. Ten years ago they moved to Dawes County Neb., and seven years ago they came to Casper. She was the mother of eight sons, six of them are living. She has been a great sufferer nearly all her life. She united with the M. E. church at this place in 1893, and lived a devoted christian, and died Autust 3, 1898. The husband and sons have the sympathy of the entire coommunity.
