Warner Baker
The body of Warner Baker, who died at Camp Lewis, Wash., son of Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Baker, upon the Laramie River will arrive in Wheatland Thursday. Funeral arrangements have not been announced. [15 Nov 1918 Wyoming State Tribune- Cheyenne State Leader - TE - Sub by FoFG]
Edna Bashford
The coroner's Jury found that Edna Bashford committed suicide by taking strychnine. She brought the poison to town from her father's ranch, where it had been used to poison prairie dogs. No cause for the suicide is known. ["Hartville Uplift" no. 8, April 09, 1910, page 2 - TE - Sub by FoFG]
James Cooper
Mr. And Mrs. J. J. Cooper of 600 Jersey received word today that their son, James had died Dec. 5 at Guernsey, Wyoming, of pneumonia. He was born in Elsberry, Mo., July 9, 1881, and resided here 27 years. Several years ago he went to Wyoming, where he has been employed by the government in the railroad business. He is survived by his parents and two little daughters, Janie, aged 7 years, and Minnie, aged 5 years, and one sister, Mrs. Maude Rouse of Chicago. The remains will be brought here for burial. Ernest Curry
DWYER -- Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Curry lost their son Ernest of influenza, and also a son-in-law who died in Los Angeles where he was in army service. Tim Finnerty
Rock River — A man believed to be Tim Finnerty, an Irishman about 46 years of age and a stranger here, died Tuesday from strangulation, a large mass of chipped beef and other food having lodged in his throat. Louis C. Gladfelder
Died at the home of his son, George Gladfelder in Laramie, Wyoming, on January 21st. Lewis Calvin Gladfelder, age 69 years. Mrs. Von Heuckelon of Bordeaux is a daughter. ["Chugwater News", no. 1 February 03, 1928 - TE - Sub by FoFG]
John Guy
With his right arm caught in the gearing of a pumping engine at the Rock Springs mine, John Guy reversed the machine and withdrew his mangled arm walked several hundred yards to a carriage where he was taken to the states hospital, where he died from shock following the amputation of his arm. Hazelquist
Wheatland - Jan -7 - Again Wheatland and vicinity has been more than shocked by death three in one family within the past three days. So far the cause of the deaths are unknown to the leading physicians. On last Thursday, the little two year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hazelquist who live six miles south of Wheatland, suddenly became paralyzed in its feet and legs the parents hurriedly left for Wheatland for medical aid but before reaching town the little girl died. While arranging for the funeral Stewart Hazelquist an uncle to the child was stricken in the same manner and died Saturday night. Sunday the father Howard Hazelquist died in the same manner. The wife was also stricken yesterday and is hardly expected to live. Dr. Johnson of Cheyenne, was called in consultation with the local physician but no definite diagnosis has been reached. The stomach with all of the organs of the young man have been sent to Denver for an analysis. The girl was buried privately Saturday and the two brothers will be intered today. Fred Holbrook
Fred Holbrook, 16 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Holbrook of Lander's accidentally shot and instantly killed by the discharge of a .22 caliber gun held in his own hands, while out hunting rabbits. ["Chugwater Record" no. 46 April 11, 1919 - TE - Sub by FoFG]
E. M. Husted
MANVILLE, Wyo., May 29. – Brooding over separation from his wife, E. M. Husted shot and fatally wounded himself at the home of his nephew, Theodore Eustler, west of here, the morning after his arrival. Husted entered the room where his nephew and the latters two sons were sleeping early in the morning, took a .22 caliber rifle from the wall and shot himself in the temple. C.W. McAllister
The remains of C.W. McAllister in charge of his son A.G. McAllister of Chugwater were shipped to the McAllister home in Hawarden, Ia. Saturday by , Hobbs, Huckfeldt & Finkbiner. W.R. Miller
The body of W.R. Miller, age 22, son of Mrs. Vickery of Gray Rock, Wyo. was shipped to Wheatland from Camp McArthur, California, Monday. Funeral services were held from McCallum's undertaking parlors, conducted by Rev. MClellan of the Methodist church on Monday afternoon. James Robert Spence
The angel of death passed over a homestead near Chugwater yesterday afternoon and in passing on took with him little James Robert 23 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. W.E. Spence , of 113 E. Seventh Street, Cheyenne. Mr. Spence is night assistant roundhouse foreman for the Union Pacific. Acute pnemonia was the cause of death. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow from Early's chapel with Rev. E.E. Brace in charge and with burial in the I.O. O. F. Cemetery. Templeton
MANVILLE, Wyo., June 20. – The four-year-old son of Chauncey Templeton is dead as a result of taking more than four grains of strychnine at one dose. James Wilson
Wheatland - The funeral of James Wilson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wilson who died at Camp McArthur, California, of the flu were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock by Rev. McClellan of the Methodist church from the McCallum undertaking parlors. The funeral was in charge of Company A. Interment was made in the Wheatland Cemetery.
